WD-40: January 1st - 7th



What is WD-40?: WD-40 is a weekly devotion, followed by a 40 word prayer, given out every Monday.

This Week’s Scripture: Revelation 4:5-8

These verses have always confused people: what do the creatures represent? Is this literal? Is it metaphorical? What’s going on here! Before you pull your hair out, let me boil it down: it’s the ultimate creativity of God!The mythical-esque (they’re real) creatures that surround the throne are an overflow of God’s creativity, just as the Creation as we know it is.

I once had a quote on the side of my coffee cup that read:

One can only be humbled by the richness of the animal an dplant life on this place we call Earth - the diversity of life in the oceans - so evident here on the Great Barrier Reef. Hundreds of soft and hard corals, fish species and marine animals. I want to do my part to secure this wonderful world for future generations.

How true! Our God is so creative, but we are naturally destructive. Romans 1:20 reminds us that His creation screams of His power and holiness! Let us take the time to notice it.

After all, we owe it to the God who is so creative that He created over 12,000 species of ants!
