The Bible

We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

Our hope is that every person at Harmony Church will eventually be able to read the Bible on their own and learn something about Christ that applies to their life.

God

We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Our hope is that every person at Harmony Church will see God as being in loving relationship, and will yearn to be in loving relationship with Him and others as well.

Sin

We believe that all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God’s displeasure, except by His mercy.

Our hope is that every person at Harmony Church will see themselves as undeserving of grace, and will constantly review their sin in light of God’s holiness, being able to enjoy their salvation by Christ.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by God alone as He sovereignly chooses those He will save. We believe His choice is based on His grace, not on any human individual merit, or foreseen faith.

Our hope is that every person at Harmony Church will see God as gracious and loving in His salvation, as provided through Jesus, and in response, will be gracious and loving towards others.

Jesus the Savior

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation.

Our hope is that every person at Harmony Church will see Jesus as the perfect Sacrifice, who out of love died for them, and in response, live sacrificially for Him towards others.

A Covenant People

We believe that God is gracious and faithful to His people not simply as individuals but as families in successive generations according to His Covenant promises.

Our hope is that every person at Harmony Church realizes that God is not only about them as individuals, but is about a people that carry His name, and will therefore be about people as well, instead of living for themselves.

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and gives them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him.

Our hope is that every person at Harmony Church will follow and obey the Holy Spirit, and will in turn trust Christ, and chase Him wherever He may lead them.

The Return of the King

We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself.

Our hope is that every person at Harmony Church will rejoice in Jesus’ first coming, and live in expectation for His second.

Jesus Reigns

We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Our hope is that every person at Harmony Church will submit their entire lives to the authority of Jesus as King.
