What are Home Groups?

Home Groups, in a nutshell, are hospitals for the soul. You can come to a Home Group, be around friends, and be welcomed into the loving community that is Harmony Church. They are small communities of people throughout the city of Greenville that love one another, pray for one another, care for one another, hang out with one another, and chase Jesus with one another.

What happens in a Home Group meeting?

Usually, the Home Group will take half the time and eat. That’s right, eat. They will sit together, eat dinner together, and generally get to know one another over a plate of spaghetti or bowl of chili. Follow it up with dessert, and then on to the Scriptures. It’s not a Bible study…it’s a Bible application. There are two basic questions: first, how does the Bible tell us to lead our lives, and then where do we butt heads with it? We listen to one another, encourage one another, and share lives with one another in order to make each other look more like Jesus. We wrap up the night with specific, particular prayer for one another. Just a simple way to show love for one another, just as Jesus has commanded of us.

How Can I Get Involved?

There are Home Groups meeting throughout the city…just get in touch with one of the leaders, and show up! It’s really that simple. You’ll be welcomed in as if you were always there. The information for each Home Group is right on this site. You’re welcome.
